Privacy Policy
Effective / last updated: 8 October 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the MyCase.ai.in private beta. We may update it as the service develops.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how MyCase.ai.in ("MyCase", "we", "us") — a service operated by Sovereign Legal Intelligence Private Limited (under incorporation in India; trading as "Sovereign Legal Intelligence" / "SLI India") — collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the MyCase.ai.in website or the MyCase connector in an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT.
We are the Data Fiduciary for this data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").
Contact / Grievance Officer: Abhishek Katta, support@mycase.ai.in.
2. What we collect
- Account details you give us when you register: your name, email, phone number, location, role and a short profile. Your password is stored only in a protected form; we never see it.
- What you type or save: your questions, case descriptions, documents you draft, saved cases and messages you send us.
- Basic technical data: such as your IP address and records of your requests, used to keep the service secure.
We do not collect payment details during the beta. Please don't enter more personal information than you need to.
3. How we use it
To provide and secure the service, respond to you, send service messages (and marketing only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time), and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
4. Legal basis
Your consent, given when you register, and the legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as security and legal compliance. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 7).
5. Who we share it with
- Hosting providers, which store and run the service in India.
- AI service providers, which help us understand your question and write the answer. They receive what you type (which may include personal details) and extracts from public judgments, but not your account or profile.
- Your AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT), when you use the connector inside it. Its own privacy policy applies there.
We do not otherwise disclose your personal data except where the law requires it.
6. Where it is stored
Your account and saved data are stored in India. When you ask a question or draft a document, what you type may be processed outside India by our AI service provider to produce the result. By using the Service you consent to this, as permitted under the DPDP Act.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Contact the Grievance Officer at support@mycase.ai.in. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it to run the service, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and you can delete your saved cases yourself from the Casebook.
9. Security
We protect your data with encryption and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
10. Children
The Service is for adults aged 18 or over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and we will delete it if we find we have.
11. Changes
We will post any update here with a new date, and tell you about important changes.
