Who We Are
A founder’s mission, not a product pitch
My family and I have navigated the Indian legal system as litigants for years. I know first-hand what it feels like from that side of the bench — the uncertainty, the cost, and the sense that the process is opaque at every step.
I am also a technologist. For nearly two decades I have built and delivered large-scale technology transformations for enterprises and governments, solving hard problems with technology. And for just as long, one question kept returning to me: why can this not be done for India’s justice system?
That question became the focus of my doctoral research. The deeper I went, the clearer it became that this problem is not mine alone. It weighs just as heavily on lawyers and advocates — especially those who are not affluent, who lack access to the expensive tools and large platforms built for big firms and enterprises.
So I set out to build something that serves both sides — the litigant trying to understand their own case, and the advocate who deserves powerful yet affordable tools. That is why Sovereign Legal Intelligence is being built as a Digital Public Good, not another product locked behind enterprise pricing.
SLI is built on a foundation of over 14 million Indian court cases, drawn from official public court records and refined through a proprietary AI intelligence layer. Every answer is grounded in that authoritative material, explainable, and traceable to its source — because in law, an answer you cannot verify is worthless.
Every insight rests on authoritative court records
Reasoning you can follow, not a black box
Every conclusion links back to its source
